General Discussion / Broccoli Benefits / Blood, genetic and urine indicators

Are there certain tests or metabolites that can be measured and used to identify who would benefit the most from detoxification upregulation. And after starting a supplemental program could these indicators be revaluated to check for progress.
Thanks for your help!

General Discussion / Broccoli Benefits / PHASE I/II BALANCE
|

Thanks Kas for the response, these pahse II inducers appear to have such great potential. When discussing detoxification systems within the body, the topic of balancing Phase I and Phase II enzymes often arises. I have read that Phase I compounds are often more reactive than the originial molecules, therefore an increase in Ph II helps tp keep the overly reactive Ph I intermediates from doing too much damage, and I can understand this idea. However, people also say that sometimes Ph II enzymes can become too high and be dangerous by themselves if not still in balance with the ph I. Have you read or heard anything about this in the scientific journals.
Thanks

General Discussion / Broccoli Benefits / SGS Phase II Inducer?

Hi Lance I hope your still there. It seems I'm having trouble posting. I have a simple question I was hoping you could answer. Since there are a number of Phase II enzymes, which of these are induced by SGS, and can other Phase II enzymes be induced by tea, curcumin and etc.., or are they the same enzymes.
