Title: PHASE I/II BALANCE Post by: Christianzetterberg on July 27, 2006, 09:04:58 PM Thanks Kas for the response, these pahse II inducers appear to have such great potential. When discussing detoxification systems within the body, the topic of balancing Phase I and Phase II enzymes often arises. I have read that Phase I compounds are often more reactive than the originial molecules, therefore an increase in Ph II helps tp keep the overly reactive Ph I intermediates from doing too much damage, and I can understand this idea. However, people also say that sometimes Ph II enzymes can become too high and be dangerous by themselves if not still in balance with the ph I. Have you read or heard anything about this in the scientific journals.
Thanks Christian Zetterberg Title: Phase I/II Balance Post by: kas on August 14, 2006, 09:13:58 AM I am aware of no scientific evidence to support this. Clearly, too much of any good thing could be harmful --- sunlight, water, and salt come to mind as extreme examples.
